Manufactured by Altiveners in Belgium. Super-thin flexible carbon fiber veneer with a high gloss finish on one side. This thin layer of genuine carbon fiber sheet is easily cut and shaped and can be bonded to existing surfaces such as shop-fittings, architectural features, exhibition displays, dashboards, desks and more.
Available with or without a 3M self-adhesive backing in range of sizes up to 2sqm (10.8sqft).
Extra thin genuine carbon fiber veneer suitable for a range of applications where the appearance of genuine carbon fiber is required in a format that can be bonded to the surface of other materials to create an attractive, high gloss veneer surface.
The sheet is designed to sit very flat having minimal variation in thickness and is available with a peel-ply finish to the reverse - perfect for bonding to other materials tion.
The 'A-side' of the sheet has the classic 2/2 twill, 3k woven carbon fiber appearance with a pin-hole free high gloss finish. The reverse of the sheet features an even textured 'peel ply' finish.
Typical Uses
This flexible carbon fiber sheet is ideal for use in furniture making, architectural detailing or adding genuine carbon fiber appearance to just about any flat surface.
At approximately 0.25mm (0.013"), the veneer can easilly follow single plane curves (like the radiused edge of a desk for example) but, in common with most carbon surfaces, it will eventually break if bent too far.
How to Buy
Our High Strength Carbon Fibre Sheet is available to buy in thicknesses of 1mm, 2mm, 3mm and 4mm. Choose your required thickness at the top of the page.
The sheet is also available in sheet sizes 250mm x 230mm, 470mm x 250mm, 500mm x 470mm, 980mm x 500mm, 1000mm x 980mm and 2000mm x 980mm which should also be selected at the top of the page.
We also list separately a Carbon Fibre Veneer suitable for furniture making, laminating, car trim pieces etc., which is available with or without a self-adhesive backing.
Further Information
Cutting, Shaping & Finishing
As with all carbon fiber and composites (like fiberglass, carbon kevlar etc) good results can be achieved for cutting, shaping and finishing this sheet using regular workshop tools like hacksaws, jigsaws and wet-and-dry. In fact, this ultra thin veneer can actually be cut using strong scissors. Specialist tools can, however, make lighter work of the job and produce better results.
Laminate Composition
This carbon fiber sticker sheet is resin infused from a single layer of top quality 2/2 Twill 210gsm carbon fiber. This is the same fabric used in our other infused sheet. Further details along with the fabric specification and fiber type, can be seen on the Specification tab.
The matrix used is a high performance epoxy resin which offers excellent mechanicals, clarity and improved UV stability. The high temperature cure maximises the mechanical strength properties and results in a Tg (glass transition) of 80°C (176°F).
To achieve maximum stability and flatness in the sheets, we used 'balanced' laminates for all sheet thicknesses. This means that the fibre type, weight and weave is symmetrical from the front to the back ply.

Dimensional Tolerance and Sheet Weight
Thickness tolerance and weight for our High Strength Carbon Fibre Sheet varies with thickness, as follows:
| Thickness | Thickness & Tolerance | Weight kg/m² |
| 1mm | 0.9mm +/-0.2mm | 1.32 |
| 2mm | 1.7mm +/-0.2mm | 2.80 |
| 3mm | 2.8mm +/-0.2mm | 4.11 |
| 4mm | 4.0mm +/-0.2mm | 5.84 |
The dimensional tolerance on length and width is + - 2.5mm
How to Cut and Shape
This carbon fibre sheet can easily be cut and finished to a high standard using simple workshop tools. Cutting and finishing carbon fibre can also be perfectly safe if you follow some basic safety precautions.
Manufacturing Contracts
Our sophisticated manufacturing process and facilities mean Altiveners can produce carbon fibre or composite sheet to almost any specification. We currently supply specialist carbon fibre sheet to many famous brands from the world of fashion, high-end audio, F1, motorsport and marine sectors.
Please contact us our sales team to discuss your requirements.
Regrettably, we are unable to offer custom sheet fabrication for small runs (less than 10sqm). We do not offer a cutting/trimming service.
