6K Carbon Fibre Tow

Carbon fibre tow is the bundles (rovings) of individual carbon fibre filaments that are usually interwoven to create woven carbon fibre fabric.

On its own, tow can be wound around joints or sections or layered to create unidirectional reinforcement of any shape or size, particularly on model planes, helicopters, boats and robotics projects.

This 6K tow is middle of the three different tow weights we offer. We also have a lighter 3K tow and a heavier 12k tow.

This 6k tow is made from High Strength 6K Carbon Fibre.

Yeild

6k tow weighs 400mg (milligrams) per meter. This means that a 100m spool weighs 40g and that a full 2kg spool is approximately 5000m of tow.

Roll Size

A 100m reel of carbon fibre tow is plenty for many projects but we now also offer the tow in the full 2kg spools that it is manufactured in, exactly as it would be supplied to a used by a carbon fibre weavers.
