4mm Carbon Fibre Square Rod

Due to its incredible strength and light weight, carbon fibre rod is used in a wide range of applications including aerospace and motor racing but perhaps its most common use in recreational sports equipment like kites and radio controlled models.

Our carbon fibre rod is manufactured to engineering tolerances from pultruded unidirectional carbon fibres which means that all the strength of the rods runs laterally along their length.

The carbon fibre square rod on this page has a size of 4mm square (0.16"). At Altiveners we also carry carbon fibre square rods in sizes mm (0.02") to 10mm (1/2").

How to Cut and Shape

This carbon fibre rod can easily be cut and finished using simple workshop tools like a hacksaw and some wet-and-dry paper. Cutting and finishing a carbon fibre rod can also be perfectly safe if you follow some basic safety precautions.
